I went to beer K-1 on Columbia Pike and bought a bag of Rap Snacks. I don’t know if anyone else eats them but the packaging is disturbing. The one I bought features Lil’ Romeo and the flavor is Bar-b-quin’ with my Honey. His advice to consumers of Rap Snacks is to “Stay in School.” The back of the bag states that these are the “Official Snack of Hip Hop.” They do taste pretty good, though.

Today was election day in Virginia. My Election Officer recognized me as the girl who picked up a bag of corks he gave away on Freecycle about a month ago.
After I voted I picked up a some of these cool Americana style mechanical backs a man named Gil was giving away on Freecycle.
He said his father used to collect them.
The ones he had were reproductions from Taiwan, but the real ones are American made and are worth hundreds and thousands of each today.
Gil gave me: Uncle Same, Punch and Judy, the Joker, two horse themed banks, and one carnival themed bank.
Uncle Sam is my favorite – maybe because he fit the Election Day theme. You place a penny in his hand, hit the lever, and he drops it into his bag.
Bart and I played with them for about an hour when I got home.
